A simple introduction
opens the conversation.
Use these as a starting point. Keep your own voice, ask for a short meeting, and send one text at a time. Use [Referrer] only for a real referral; otherwise, say how you found the professional.
Call
“Hi [Name], this is [Your Name] with [Brokerage]. [Referrer] suggested I reach out because you’re a local [profession] here in [city]. Is that right?”
“I’m looking to connect with a strong local [profession] so we can learn about each other’s work and see whether we can be a resource to one another. Could I stop by for a few minutes to introduce myself? What day and time works for you?”
“Great. May I get your email so I can send you my information and a calendar invitation?”
